| Alvi Shaw Alvi worked in Sales and Marketing for thirty years, both in the U.K. and America, and her last job was organising large trade exhibitions. On retirement she became Chairman of her Parish Council and was on the Management Committee of Henley C.A.B. For the last twelve years she has accompanied holidays for Theatregoers, then the Arts and Heritage Club and now Go Travel Cultural Breaks. She also organises and leads holidays for her local NADFAS both at home and abroad, and she is their current Chairman. |
Alvi loves working for Cultural Breaks as the holidays are always first
class and to places she would like to go! Many of the members have now
become friends with her and each other over the years, as the holidays
are such a great way to meet people.
_______________________________________________________________________ | Carol Butcher Carol has successfully organised excursions for the Walton and Weybridge branch for twelve years. She worked for the Director of Tourism of the London Tourist Board and visited many tourist attractions with them. The strangest experience was taking dictation on a boat with snow coming down in January to update the River Thames commentary for boat owners! |
She enjoys sharing her passion for our cultural heritage and the theatre
with members and says it’s lovely to watch the friendships that have
developed through the club. All new members are assured of a warm
welcome from Carol who has an exciting programme with a variety of
interesting visits.
She is married with two grown up daughters.

| June Walden June worked as a Secretary/PA in both England and Sweden
before setting up her own business which she ran for 21 years before selling it
in 2007. For the past five years she has worked for The Ambassador
Theatre Group as a District Sales Assistant for The New Wimbledon
Theatre. |
With her love of the Theatre and meeting people she enjoys
taking the members out on the various excursions organised by Go Travel
Cultural Breaks, and thinks it is a wonderful opportunity for people to
get out
and about and make new friends especially those on their own. The
outings
are always enjoyable and the members love socialising together as well
as
enjoying the variety of organised venues.
