Pauline & Jim Gibbons
Tour Managers
Pauline, accompanied by her husband Jim, enjoy being part of the Cultural Breaks team, always looking forward to leading our many interesting and varied trips. They have a passion for seeing new places, as well as old favourites, visiting concerts, theatres and museums alongside our members, with whom they are very popular. Nothing is too much trouble for this couple, who take great pleasure in helping everyone make the most out of their holidays.

Nick Thorogood
Tour Manager
Nick worked for 30 years in the television industry making well known programmes and running much loved channels. Outside of tour managing he is involved in the charity sector and works creating events in his local community. Alongside a passion for culture, theatre and exploring the UK, Nick gets great pleasure from meeting Cultural Breaks members and helping them to enjoy their holidays.

Ruth Weeks
Tour Manager
Ruth has spent her working life as a music teacher and pianist. Now with more time she volunteers at her local Arts Centre where she is duty manager for the classical concerts. She also loves walking, leading walks for the Ramblers. Working for Cultural Breaks as a Tour Manager is very rewarding as she enjoys visiting new places and meeting interesting people.

Gill Ironside
Tour Manager
Gill spent many years travelling and living all over the world as she has a passion for knowledge, experiencing new cultures, seeing unusual places and fell in love with the desert. Upon returning to the UK she worked for many years in Public Relations, then Sales. Now that she has more time she walks in the country, volunteers at her local Art Centre, plays bridge and enjoys the arts. Working with Cultural Breaks offers Gill the opportunity to discover the UK and meet with many different and interesting people. Customer Service is important to her and she will always go the extra mile to ensure our guests enjoy their holiday.

Christopher Coleman
Tour Manager
My name Christopher (Chris) Coleman and its my pleasure to be joining cultural breaks as a Tour Manager I currently fly for British Airways as an Inflight Manager and I enjoy travelling, the Opera arts and the Ballet it will be a pleasure meeting new members and hope that they will leave with the lasting memories that I hope to create on their holidays.

Sue Leader
Tour Manager
I have worked for the last 15 years in Primary Healthcare for the NHS. Having decided to take early retirement in April 2025, I have been filling my time with Gardening, Dog walking/dog sitting for family and friends when needed. I have also become a Chaperone for my Niece' Dance school. Travel is at the top of my list, visiting various places around the UK and much further afield when I can. My last big trip was Australia & New Zealand which was top of my list as I have family there. Cultural breaks gives me the opportunity to meet members from all walks of life and to ensure that they enjoy there holiday with us.

Jackie Harrison
Office Manager
Jackie has been an invaluable asset to Cultural Breaks since she joined the team in 2013. Her friendly, helpful disposition makes her popular with everyone she speaks to. Her many duties include taking holiday bookings, setting up new members’ free membership and renewals for existing members, organising refreshment and lunch stops during tours and arranging door to door cars to chauffeur members from their home to and from the holiday departure point.

Clare Steel
Holiday Planner
As an Assistant Administrator & Event Co-Ordinator, Clare is responsible within the team for helping with customer enquiries, taking holiday bookings and helping the Holiday Planners with the bookings for our client’s future trips. In Clare’s free time, she enjoys going on holidays, trips to the theatre and relaxing with a good book.

Dave Roberts
IT & Design
As IT Manager, Dave is responsible for all activities related to computers including the design and management of our website and with his knowledge of design principles he produces all Cultural Breaks’ holiday brochures and magazine advertisements. When not busy working Dave loves to spend time with his two young sons, enjoying football, playing golf, and trying to keep them out of mischief during visits to castles and other exciting places.
